Disk mounted on the inside tabs of the spider with the caliper mounted to braze-ons on the ST. Booya. The next big thing in FG.

it's actually less mechanically efficient due to the gear ratio than a standard disc brake, which is itself less efficient than a rim brake (from a physics standpoint).
