Fork is Sakae. Wish it was the OG fork, but watever.
The frame fits me. Its a 58.
Took it for a ride after we built it up, and it was fine. Felt a lil more compact than my Gitane, but it fit me.
Cant wait to ride tmrw.

i always thought that the OG forks on the Cannondales looked sorta weird, and you always see those bikes without the original, weird.

Anyways, I know we all love the look of drop stems, but that bike would seriously fit you a lot better if you installed a regular Nitto Pearl or Technomic... the way it is now, it looks like it'd be pretty damn hard to ride over 10 miles on it without dying of discomfort.

Thanks for the constructive criticism everyone. I also have some orangeish riser bars, that I could put on if I dont like the feel.
Only rode it for about 5 or so miles so far, its getting too windy.
Yea, I got it from Bennett.
He came over and helped me build it up, since I dont have all the tools.

I like your attitude, btw. No one here wants you to feel bad, but at the same time no words will be as painful as riding a bike that doesn't fit for too long. Eventually, you would want to think about trading for another CAAD in your size. They aren't that scarce. Especially in the Bay.

I didnt get a complete feel of the fit of the bike, because I was getting knocked around too much by the wind. But what I was able to feel, it felt pretty good. Maybe a stem with less of a drop would feel a tad bit better, but I didnt have any problems yet.
I'll report back tmrw on how it feels commuting (about 10 miles total, depending if I cruise around for a while or not.)
Also, I wouldnt wanna trade away or sell this frame. I got it from my friend, and I know its one of his personal favorites. He knew I loved the frame and wanted it, so he sold it to me.
After looking at the pics and my bike, I think my seat is way forward.

I'd try a pearl and some bullhorns. They look awesome on that frame and extend the reach on the frame.

long legs short torso? that would explain the feeling stretched out and miles of seatpost. I'll second that a shorter stem with less drop would help.

Yeah, I noticed that too and its nice not to have someone become immediately defensive. Hiwaga, from the stem height and the yard of post showing (I kid, I know it could be the angle) its clear the bars are a significant drop. If you set them up where you have control in the drops, you're comfortable, and you arent cutting off your wind I can assure you riding at the tops will be even more of a joy.

IMO that fork looks a lot better than the original. The original is a standard steel fork that gets totally dwarfed over by the oversized tubing. The fork you got on there looks beefy and matches the wheelset nicely.

2nd... what fork is that and what size tires are those? i had a b!tch of a time finding a road fork that would fit my 35's, so many were really close, but still rubbed a little. i ended up having to go with a cross fork (which is fine, just harder to find a good deal on).
