fixedfiend!
HFS...I see your kung-fu is good. |
fixedfiend- i was wondering where you've been... nice. i guess you settled on bar tape, eh? looks good.
how's the ride? |
[165]--
I just saw your posting of your Gan Well, and gave myself one of those free face punches you are always talking about. Only my mouth was open so I ended up swallowing my fist which hurt, but not as much as seeing that beautiful bike. damn. |

Specs- frame, Colnago Master Track Light frame and fork. 56cm. The frame they stopped making last year. I guess they feel the Pista market has no need for that beautiful steel. The fork was scored by calling up Trialtir and having them look deep in the basement for a steel track fork. bars, Deda Elementi threadless stem. (because they are the only thing that hold the massive bars). Just love the chromoly Deda Pista bars. Much stiffer than the Nittos I had. 31.3 by the stem. Rims- Black open pros. 32h front. 36h back laced to Phils double fixed back 15t & 16t. cranks-DA 165 with DA chainring. 48t Royal Nuevo pedals with MKS leather straps. Chris King headset. Cheap BMX chain still on there from winter commuting. Nitto seatpost and Terry saddle. miss anything? |

S/F< CEYA! |
I know, I've already given Sophia her own thread but I've been aesthetically moved by the styling of drops recently so I threw on some Deda Pista drops I have and took the brake off and went around the neighbourhood skidding my arse off. It was pretty good. Even more atuned to traffic and whatnot - having to trackstand and watch traffic even closer. After the ride I thought I'd take some photos and have her in this thread in her drops configuration for posterity.

hot damn absntr
that bike is on fire. don't change a thing!! |
Naz, you're going to push me over the edge with these pictures and sooner or later I'm going to be forced to make a phone call to Mr. Phil. That bike is so nice it makes me shiver. :)
|
Fixedfiend,
Glad to see the frame built up. Subtle but large comes to mind. Naz, And I thought my black Phil's were sexy. Feeling the pink with the black frame. Plowboy |
Absntr : Okay, you don't have to tape your drops.
Everyone else : You still do. |
Damn, with those drops, looks like Sophia's going topless. Sexy as F-.

Plow Boy - Where's your steed? Black Phils deserve a little face time.

Deep Red - Thats just what I planning on hunting down for my future new ride - I was planning on making the call to Phil as soon as I had decided on a frame. Sophia is what actually inspired me to stop talking about my "perfect" ride and to start actually shopping - she is one hot mama! I hope the red is the same color as Chris king red. |
(this comment is not intented to diminish the sexyness of the recent bikes posted in this thread (namely absntr, 165, and fixedfiend), but here goes.)
these bikes look so damn good because you guys take great photos with great cameras! i mean, damn... |

trespasser, your mercian is utterly gorgeous, wholly pulchritudinous, and positively ravishing- the most aesthetically pleasing bicycle i've yet seen, to be sure. bravo.
|
Trespasser - very nice. Is that a pale yellow or a vanilla/cream? And what rims are those? They look very elegant.
