Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Yeah, it is a Peavey classic. They are awesome amps. I just put in a matched set of Ruby tubes and it totally came to life. Its a great circuit, all class A with 3 band passive EQ. Hard to beat that. Pretty soon I'm gonna switch out the speakers for something more sexy.

Its funny because I get a lot of the "pop punk" kids that are used to playing through a marshal or a mesa, and I have them plug into the Peavey and they can't get a sound out it. It takes them a couple of hours, usually, but then they start to learn how to "push" the amp and then they love it. Great stuff!

Man, you were right, that is a really nice ride. I stopped and got a bagel and some orange juice, contemplated RIDING back then said f it and just caught the train. I'm just chillin, drinking a beer, smoking some crack and busting off caps now.

Nice, I was totally ready to ride more, oh well. When I finally got to work the Kiyo told me that it loved me, and that it's really happy that I saved it from a life of only turning left around a track.

Feeling nice right now, eating a burrito and some magical string cheese.

After we finish the Chewbacca song you know what we're doing next right? Another big ride and we'll have the lyrics all down.

Tour de Endor. Through the tress and Ewok pooh.

I am up for that ride again, the whole 5am thing isn't that bad.

I think the Kiyo is happy to have left Japan. It was like a lost Japanese neko. Now its a cat. Its slowly learning out ways, strange as they may be. Perhaps, at first, being farted on confused it. Now it has learned that the fart is a celebration of all it means to be an American.

You know, I noticed that too. It was remarkable. I think one's in Union Square (?) or wherever the hip shopping area is and I think I remember seeing one down by the Wharf? Or wherever that big Ghiradelli place is on the other side of the city.

Damn, am I SF jonesin' or what?

Damn, you're right, I forgot about the hole-in-the-wall location on Market. There's also one where all the homeless-for-the-summer trustafarians hang out at the end of Haight street.

That makes three...

The bush man? Hell yeah, I dressed like him for haloween a few years back, it wasn't very hard.

I love seeing that guy freak the **** out of unsuspecting tourists. I love how pissed the victim gets and how much the rest of the people who saw it laugh.

If you were in Massachusetts you could totally do a one day bike tour of McD's and probably, not even joking, hit up 20 or more.

He made a big body-builder guy scream like a little girl the last time I was there. Funny sh*t.

You mean the fat old guy who looked like "Chunk" from The Goonies?

I guess that guy was some semi-famous artist who painted trucks of some kind.

fwiw, the McDonald's locator shows 19 in SF. I count 28 in all of Boston (ie, no Somerville but yes Hyde Park).

No, he was a little old man. Always in a suit. Kind of reminded me of the midget from Twin Peaks.

Looks like twelve McDs according to Google, but who knows. Some of the locations were doubles.

I like this distribution: http://www.snibbe.com/scott/bf/sfmcd.htm

That was the singer, it ended up not being used. This was the morning before day 1 of guitar overdubs, so I like to set up all the amps, so we can go through EVERYTHING and see what works best for the part. I think, missing from the pic, is the little battery powered marshall that ended up being used for a guitar solo and then an intro. I used that JCM 2000 quite a bit, but I'm not a fan. I also used the fender for quite a few parts.
