Sooo..his set up was..stem as high as possible.. like rivendell style..then.. stem angle straight up (i didnt even know those stems went up like that..)..AND..he was buying risor bars to put on it because that still wasnt enough height for him.. it was like the working mans bum bike.. a classic

first thing I do with any of my bikes when building or after buying (that have brakes) is swap cables so the front brake is always left. It's the left lever on motorcycles......i figure why mix it up.

ScottMC,

Very nice. Looks like its ready for a streetfight. The silver cranks are the perfect amount of non-black to give a little spice.

Bareknuckle love. I really like all the black stuff on yours. If I get any extra money, I would love to put some black components on mine...

I just got it and have been riding non-stop. I really like the frame.

Haha..Thanks. I'm about 5'4" or 5'5", depending on how close you're standing near me

Travsi - Yup, another Giro! Your smokey blue one is gorgeous! Giros unite! I got this one straight from Japan. I have family there so they were able to order it for me from e-framebank and then in turn ship it to me. It's pretty much all NJS except the wheels and saddle. Bars/Stem/Seatpost are Nitto, BB/Headset are the incredible Hattas, Cranks/Chainring are Sugino 75s (165mm), Saddle is Selle Italia PROlink, and the wheels are the ubiquitous non-machined, black, Deep Vs from the wonderful IRO/Tony.

Kennethalan - Thanks for the kind word. There are so many beautiful bikes on this site so I can't say mine is the nicest, but I appreciate the comment anyway. I love Giros because at first glance they're understated and subtle but upon further inspection you see the beautiful lugwork, accents like the carved out BB and the cool paintjob.

He mentions getting black components when he gets some money. Maybe new pedals are the black components he is talking about.

Does that mean your bikes come with the front brake on the right? Every bike I have ever purchased has the front break on the left and I swap it to the right.

Yeah, I think they got it backwards. At least on my motorcycle the front brake is on the right. I do the same as you guys and move my bike brake to the right.

on motorcycles the LEFT LEVER IS THE CLUTCH, the right lever is the front brake

Isn't the front brake on motorbikes the right lever, and the left is the clutch? I never rode a motorbike, but I seem to remember it that way.
And then, bikes are normally set up with the front brake hooked to the left lever (in Europe they certainly do), so you don't need to switch if you want it there, do you?

But then 2 people have +1'd this. What is going on???

Tell me, do you ride this piece of art on the road without front brake? Are those wheels 26 (559)?
