Damnit, I really need to quit acquiring single-cogged fat-tired bikes.

The housing's wacky and long because the dude I got it from had albatross bars on it and I haven't gotten around to trimming the housing yet.
So there.

Jim-bob, ever take that up to Joaquin Miller, or the hills in general? I lived in East Oakland for 22 years and rode trails from San Leandro to El Cerrito all the time. Well, not one single trail, but just sayin' those were generally the areas we would bomb.

Not that particular bike, but my red bike's seen joaquin miller, lake chabot, that sort of thing. Not enough, but enough to make me want to get up there more.

RyanD, I can't help but notice that your last name is Dudek... any relation to a James Dudek from western Jersey? He was something of a burn-out legend at my high school.

and i am pumped because HERE IS A DUDE WHO GETS IT! pretty much the only iro someone has posted in recent memory that wasn't gross.

why thanks for the compliment! i sorta wish i had a nicer frame, but live within your means y'know?

No, we booted everybody from Jersey out of the family tree years ago. (kidding) Most of my family are in Upstate NY, so its possible we are distant relatives, but definitely nothing direct.

I don't like it. I'm gonna order some white Stella Azzurra Eleganza instead.

Thanks for the compliments, the bike is on velospace as well... anybody know why my second photo has no thumbnail? (there should be five)

So there.
Oh, man.

I started working on the brakes, figuring I'd trim the housing back to a reasonable length, that sort of thing.

Some previous owner used shifter housing for the brakes, which is a big ol' no-no. Now I've exhausted my stash of brake housing, but hey, at least the bike's ready for its new home.

Fun bike. I could get used to it, if it stuck around.

It took mine almost a week to load up completely when I edited it. Don't know much about computers, but maybe it is his server? Or something?

ok, this is a work in progress... its the 71ish Raleigh Olympic track. it had a top tube dent, I know, I know, it wasnt the exact picture you had seen before, but this is the one that was crashed during the games. it was filled with some sort of a composite and heat wasnt used. so far its frame, fork, campy record headset and campy high flanges. ill post more pictures as soon as im not lazy.

Ha. My girlfriend and I were bringing it to Philly, and I had nothing to do while my girlfriend was at work on Monday, so I got some Pedro's Bike Lust and cleaned it up a little. If I wanted to be odd and creepy, I would have put the inuendo there myself.
