Bikes: trek (work-horse), nybike (fixed frankenstien of a bike), DB (mountain bike), Haro (bmx), old raliegh ladies 10 speed now rocking riser bars! with those plus my girlfriend's bikes, that's a lotta metal for a 1 bedroom apt.

I am especially digging the mauvish NYC bikes bike, and the converted Schwinn. They both look similar to my bike(s). (which I need to repost this year)

I need to ask about the handlebars, earthe5ive. I just acquired and installed some very similar, but black, that the shop said were from a new Burley bike. ?

Nice. How are you liking the sliding dropouts? I think they are the most elegant way of doing SS on a MTB (short of EBBs, of course), but I'm worried about slippage.

I'm liking the sliding drop outs alot. If greased and tightened properly, slippage won't happen.

Indeed. After building it up last night, and taking it for a shakedown ride, the clever bits started to come up with excuses why I needed to vist Major T. . .at midnight. Hmmmmmmmm hop the fence, strap on the battery and light, or not if the moon would come out from behind the clouds. A midnight ride, under a full moon, on an unlit track, sounds like heaven.
