Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Hate ridiculously narrow risers? You'll love these!

Saw these today, figured you guys would get a kick out of them, and I wanted to see what kind of discussion would ensue. Have at it.

What's going on with the psychedelic cross-hatching? That looks neat.

It's cut into the tubing and then they put lights inside. It's a sculpture from a BFA show at school. Didn't catch the artist's name though.

You really should have cropped the photo to make us believe it was a ride-able bike.

They have bike racks that look sort of like these in Hawaii, but I don't get the weird lights.

The thought crossed my mind, but I didn't know if I could handle the storm of hate it would create.

Nope, sorry. Nothing too impressive, just got a laugh outta the bars. The lights are inside the frame and project out through intricate patterns cut into the tubing.

You could "liberate" those ones, I mean they clearly aren't being used anyway right?

You'd probably have to have them custom bent. I don't think anyone would ever make a set of bars this completely ****ing moronic. And even if they did, they'd be absolutely useless to ride and would look like ****.

Or King Kog might have them.
