Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Next messenger trend?

Fixed utility trikes of course! http://www.workcycles.com/workbike/b...port-bike.html
Imagine playing in traffic with one of those.

A fixed gear utility trike would work...the gearing would be ridiculously low and the trike also benefits from the ability to reverse without dismounting.

My friend owns a courier company here and is awaiting delivery of his first trike and I'm thinking that if I am going to work for him a little I might enjoy riding that around the city.

I ride two kinds of cargo bike.

An Xtracycle for medium work and a Worksman trike for bigger jobs.

Wouldn't the shirt make more sense if it had a [fill in the blank with hippest bag] messenger bag printed on it?

Yeah, it is a bike lock. That was in the Macy's in Walnut Creek a few days ago. I thought some of y'all might like it. I think it's made by RocaWear or some **** like that.

EDIT: I think it's supposed to be gangsta.

As long as you don't try to keep it at my apartment (though I am not sure you have space in your garage, either).

The utility trike was perfected by the Chi-Coms--
one burly cyclist on the front and a gunner in back
with a stamped metal SKS to gun down running dog
capitalists and quote the red book about paper tigers

Personally, I would dig having one of these, hold the dogma.
