Tommaso Augusta track bike?
Is the tommaso augusta track bike any good? i found a 2008 tommaso augusto on a website for only $400 bucks and it retails for $1000.
are the components bad?
is it a badly built frame?
how would it compare to a pista??

I asked a few weeks ago...
https://www.bikeforums.net/singlespeed-fixed-gear/369648-thoughts-tommaso-augusta.html
geometry is fairly close to a Bianchi Pista, which is intriguing. I'm close to pulling the trigger, just so I can check it out. and one more bike never hurts anything. a few things in the specs on the site seem a bit iffy and don't jive with what's pictured...
but for the price and the specs, it's hard to beat.

The new Tommaso Augusta track bike reflects the soul of the street, but also has the options available to make it one of the most efficient commuters on the market . With a dual-sprocketed hub, the Augusta can be a fixed gear demon in the morning – and then by flipping around the rear wheel - a free-wheel commuter after lunch.

Wow it functions both as a demon and a commuter? Consider me sold!
No really, it seems like a nice bike. If this was a yea ago I would have taken it over the Sputnik I purchased.
