Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I used orange rattle can paint on a set of tires. They lasted for years.

in case you all don't know, OP is doing this for a senior project at his high school.
so he really doesn't need to care about performance.
he's just gonna skid once and then get a B- or something.

I'd bump it up to an A- if he gets leg over bars skids down.

this is a modern high school, much like any in your own state of pennsylvania, where they make you complete a "senior project" to graduate. the whole thing is bull, i used a paper i was required to write for a class for my senior project.

yes.
it's pretty much to just make sure, one final time, that a child is not overly ******** before the school releases the student into the real world. either to go to college, join the army, or work at the jiffy lube on lancaster avenue.

you know... it's just to make sure no one slips by who can't complete an entirely open-ended project with no real grading scale.
