Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

yeah its trendy, but im not all against it: it is a cheap target frame effectively converted to fixed gear. isnt the whole point of fixed gear bikes function over fashion? oh i forgot... the true essence of fixed gear bikes is riser bars and wheelsets that cost more than the bike cost in the first place

don't forget walking it to the bar and posting pictures of it on the internet so that people you will never meet know you know will give you validation.

I dont understand the members that loose their minds over alluminum framed fg and ss? Who cares if its a cheap alluminum toy store frame? If they like it oh well! Im sure they dont need YOU to like it! Am I to assume it has to be what the fg crowd TELLS you its supposed to be? Ill build my fg/ss out of whatever the **** works for me! If its responsive and a comfortable ride why should I change it to a steel frame? cause you say so? Sure, you guys have a lot of experience but what if, your god forbid, someone should build up a cheap alluminum frame that feels great to them!? I guess they better switch that frame out for a steel one for no reason....oh wait, I forgot...."the fg gods have spoken!" I have an aluminum ss and a steel one, and Ill soon have an aluminum fg and a steel one as I like the feel of both =) not everyone builds a fixie because they want to be a part of the crowd you know, some people just want to ride.

I guess my reply was a bit to much for your brain to handle and " Duh Hey, I heard you carry a gun be sure to tell us all about it! Duh!" was the best reply you could think of. That discussion is over, has been for a few days, we're talking about a-l-u-m-i-n-u-m f-r-a-m-e-d f-i-x-e-d g-e-a-r-s. thought Id slow it down a bit for you What the hell! Heres my $150.00 alluminum frame (orig cost was $300.00 on flea bay for the fg complete bike) bike =) Ive made a few mods that made it work for me
