A Question of Style...
What's the fixed gear perspective on leaving the stickers on my new Miche/Open Pro wheelset? Is it too ostentatious? Will the cool kids I occasionally ride with cackle with derision behind my back; or god forbid, on the local fixed.com forum?
My current inclination is to leave them on. I'm somewhat proud that I don't have the standard issue Deep Vs, my justification for that pride being that I objectively examined a myriad of factors, and only decided after extensive research on these boards and in other internet fora.
I humbly offer my white underbelly to the tender mercies of BikeForums.net. What say you all?

Best thing to do is, use a hair dryer and remove the stickers.
Then place them on your head.
Problem solved.

Are you not aware that you are the proud owner of the 2nd most popular rim?

what do you think looks better? it's your bike. are you concerned about resale value of the rims for when you get bored of riding fixed because it isnt trendy anymore?

Welcome to the forums! How long have you been lurking?

This thought had crossed my mind. As a perpetual slave to trends I have an inkling that that was possible. However, I suspect that, in the event that I should find myself on the wrong side of the rapidly moving cool line, I would rock a freewheel instead. Thus the fixed-fixed version of the hubs; I was keeping my bases covered.

who ****ing cares... most of the 'cool kids' i see around town know very little about the broader world of bikes and aren't even overly skilled at riding fixed. i've been running stickers on one set of velocities, no stickers on another... it's a pointless thing to even think about.

If you think you'll ever sell them, leave the stickers on.

For some reason, every time I build a wheel set I remove the sticker from one rim leaving one wheel snickered, and the other not. I think it's because although I prefer the look without the stickers, but removing the glue is a pain in the ass, and I always lose interest in the project before getting to the second wheel.

Hey Serendipper, I wandered in to ask a question about laptop sleeves, and I'm not really sure if I'm glad to be back, the signal to noise ratio certainly hasn't gone up any since i've been away. Family's good, but it's ****in winter, so the riding sucks. How's you?

Hey QP I've mised you too, but I think I wanna swap the Major T's out for WTB Mountain drops this summer and put a dummy hood on the left. I still like the flare, but the Taylors really do lack versatility.
