Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

OT: white people threads

why do they keep getting closed?...

they actually didn't get out of hand, and the article that references fixed gear culture is completely relevant to this forum and the thread topics...

what gives?

Tia,

If you really want to have that conversation, then ask a mod to give you a key to P&R.

Our thread on the "white people blog" went 7+ pages, and still going. Politely.

white people are better at balance sports. this forum is unbalanced. ergo, threads about white people don't fit. ask nelson vails.

i hear you dip, but the one from here (politely)was relevant to this forum...

I'm just wondering why it was closed

white people apparently don't even like it when white people say the name white people...

white people, white people, white people

I'd like to know, too. However, one answer is sudden triggerhappiness on mods' part this week. Threads are closed for no reason whatsoever.

Stamp their authority?

isn't the politically correct term "caucasian people"? maybe if you posted threads about caucasian people they wouldn't get closed.

Why are there more threads about white people and white belts than single speed mountain bikes on SSFG?

White belts are so 2006. It's all about custom decals and sewing now, get with the times.

i was listening to a program on npr today about the tradition of negroid cooks in the white house. Regarding Ulysses, g. washington's personal chef, another negroid commentator described him as a "cinnamon colored man". Perhaps if you were more selective in your choice of hues when describing white people, your threads wouldn't get closed. maybe ecru people would work better.

If only our present educational system knew how much ignorance sparked the creative mind.

It's counterintuitive, sure. But it works. Like not throwing water on a greasefire.

I'm black. We're conservative about our resources and don't like to rob other people's bandwith.
