hopefully I'm not breaking any forum rules by linking dennis's site
I seriously am going to do this, my friend is an ex BMX racer, and has so many cool old BMX frames, and wheelsets, I should be able to make something ridable and freaky.

i had one of these i was traveling with for a while. not too hard to mimic a bike position like that of a road/track bike. thought of making a "nice" one with some 20" aeroheads to track hubs, 3pc cranks etc but never got around to it.
fun bikes.
fun bikes.

the frickin seatpost alone would be so much fun (I'd probably TiG it in and then filler it smooth so it looked integral. I'd have more fun building it than just buying one and riding it.
although it IS a GT

Those handlebars look really uncomfortable. Do you grab them palms down so you can use the brake? Or do you grab them palms up/in so you can use them like drops?
Either way, I don't want to think about the wrist pain that causes.
How about putting in a shorter stem and riding risers with a ridiculous saddle to bar drop? that might be fun.

I have this thing, does it count? It's a three speed now, but I'm thinking of converting it. Also there's another one at the bike collective that's almost identical if I decided that I just had to have a really ****ty geared folder AND a really ****ty fixed gear folder.
