schwinn Madison and other questions

schwinn Madison and other questions
I've been thinking about either building/buying a fixie and have a few
questions.
I know with a pure track frame the optimum size is smaller than normal
road bike size, is this same for non track fixie?
toes strap and clips or clipless? (at least to start)
while I'd really like to build my own, I've seen a few Schwinn Madisons
around at a fairly decent price (cheaper than specialized langoliers or whatever
they are calling there new fixed bike) and wondered if its a decent bike.
Other than geometry and lack of brake mounting on fork
is there any reason to NOT look for a used track frame?

I would definately go for an old Schwinn track frame. I suppose it depends on your style, but I don't find track geometry to be a problem for riding around the city.

The schwinn madison is a great bike. It has track geometry but isn't to rough for first timers. I messengered on one for two years until, I picked up my dream paramount. A friend of mine now uses the madison and loves it.
