Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Does this sound reasonable

$95 bucks for 64 DT Revolution spokes and nipples, all 1/2 silver 1/2 black from a shop?

Edit:this price also includes 2 Velox rim strips

I calculate $1.48 a spoke? That's normal retail. I got Sapim Lasers (same or better as Revolutions) for about $1.00 per spoke.

It wasn't clear if you were alternating the colors on the nipples or on the spokes. If it's the nipples then just buy the amount needed from the bike shop

well if they helped you out, provided friendly service, measured out the spoke lengths for you and answered whatever questions.
I'd say its worth it.
Its always good to develop friendly relations with your LBS.
Just think of it as a small tip
