Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Nope. Just the pseudodrome or ghettrodrome... Otherwise known as the former drivers ed course turned into crit track on Washington Blvd. Half mile, with a bit of a hump at the finish. Local legend Oscar Swan runs "track" races down there in the summer, June - August, every other Friday evening. Highly recommended as a completely fun and approachable go at racing.

Free to go down and ride during non-race nights.

Nothing really happens there. Kind of a bummer, but I think everyone is intimidated by the hills. And when they aren't, it's something crazy like the dirty dozen. There's a few races here and there. And fridays is alright for meeting people, but the ghettodrome is a bit crap if you're serious, but it's fun in a pittsburgh way.

Uh. There are lots of alleycats in town. Some more epic than others, all incorporating hills as there is no way around them.
