Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Cartridge bearings

Does anyone know where I can order cartridge bearings in europe? ive checked the european websites that i know and i cant seem to find any, and my lbs isnt that great and cant really help much.

more specifically, phill wood cartridge bearings, and in germany. Any website in the EU countries will be fine. i really dont want to deal with the problems/time involved shipping them from the states.

Phil Wood bearings are a standard cartridge bearings. They come in various common sizes depending upon application.'d%20Bearings.htm

From what I understand germany is known for it's precision manufacturing, I'd bet there are plenty of good bearing sources in Germany. Tell them the size of bearing you want, and they'll fix ya right up. They'll probably have several different quality bearings to choose from.
