    confuses me this does...

Phil Wood does not sell direct, if there is a dealer in your area. Please check our dealer section.

This appears at the top of the order form, on the order page of their website. Can you just order from them or what?

You can order from them only if you live in a country without a dealer. I think it also states that on the same page.

i guess i'm fully integrated into the internet or something, but only selling through a dealer sounds so old fashion to me. what is this... the early 90s?

yeah weird how it works @_@ maybe they dont want to deal with customers and prefer businesses to handle most of the customer service parts/complaints. weed out the really mundane work or something

i overheard that a guy that wanted his HUB custom anodized and that they'll do it for $$$$$. discount given was up to the LBS

i wonder, i'd actually have to ask someone at the lbs about it, if shops get discounts from manufacturers, so as to get a kickback.

i mean, i've seen some pretty wild price variations between shops.

perhaps that is phil's way of keeping small shops in business?

If your hubs are as nice as phil's you can distribute them however you want. I doubt many people are going to not buy them just because they can't buy them straight from the source.

They probably don't like to sell them direct because customer service is not their expertise. They make good stuff and the lbs does the customer service for them.

Who cares, Im not asking about the hubs anyway, those can be found anywhere. I just want to know about the bearings, which incidentaly aren't even made by them.

shoot phil an email then, if you can. plus, it's likely that lbs's with a order catalog would have access to such specific parts.
