I know lots of fixed gear riders dont carry much, like cycle computers and such.
Im currently riding my fixed gear bike to work daily and as far as electronics i have
my PDA ( samsung blackjack)
jabra BT620S stereo Bluetooth headset
and a Timex watch / HRM (T5J031)
I dont care if that makes me a lil geeky, I love all 3 and ride with them at all times,
what about you guys?

Samsung u740 double-flip
Seiko self-winding diver's watch [doubles as body armour]
I think about technology and its impact on society. Does that count?

Wow, that qwert samsung is strange.
Anyway, I carry my trusty oldish phone (SE D750) that doubles as radio/mp3p player/GPRS "internet device", plus my sony psp for games, stuff to read, autodownloaded podcasts and wifi. And sometimes a 14,1" HP notebook.
Edit: I'm already thinking about how I will justify buying a SE Xperia x1.

Don't think they all count as gizmos, but I always have my multi-tool, lights and a lock with me. Usually a small pump. Sometimes my phone. Occasionally an ipod. And a macbook whenever I absolutely need it (not often). Oh, and I always have a fully-stocked reserve of pens and pencils in my bag...I'm a little obsessive about that.

I carry a mini pump, 2 tubes, tire irons, small leatherman multi tool, wallet, watch, u-lock, and keys (all fit in my bag)
In the summer if I am rolling to the beach at Coney Island, I pull a fixed gear trailer behind my bike with snacks, beer and condoms. I built the trailer myself with Columbus tubing and 12 inch wheels on white deep v rims. With my welding skills, I modified some Phil Woods hubs I had laying around. I threw some extra silver cogs on the hubs for some "bling" as I roll down the boardwalk on my way to play "Shoot the Freak" In case my bike gets jacked, I carry a 650 disk wheel to pop on the front of my trailer so I can use it like a scooter to get myself home. The trailer affords me the chance to carry multiple outfits with me in case I want to change my look while on the ride. I highly suggest everyone get into the crazy world of building your own fixed gear bike trailer. You will not be disappointed!

a gizmo is a technological item..
something with batteries or that you have to charge.
lights, tools and locks are the obvious things all cyclist carry and no one cares about those things in this thread

A couple weeks back I got a small compass that goes on my watch band. Just one moving part but it is a bit of a gizmo. It's very useful for cycling as there are so many funny rural roads and tiny, off-the-map villages around Edinburgh. Rights and lefts are everywhere and as soon as the coast is out of sight it's easy to get turned around. Before I got it, when i got back from group rides I would have no ****ing clue where we had been. Now I can get around the countryside on my own, no problem.

a gun and compass arnt gizmos either..
a gizmo is electronic and would be damaged by water.
if the compass had a indigo light lithium battery and alarm clock that would be an exception.

For work travel the only 'gizmos' I carry are a laptop and a cell phone - nothing else takes batteries.
