Most ******-status component since the HED3...

If anyone was wondering what the new HED3 would be, ask no more:

Full carbon track drops, 31.8, fatter diameters all throughout... and only $325! The ultimate status symbol to top off your full BMC carbon track bike on the streets.

I'd bet the cheaper, more common, lighter, and more effectively designed Easton EC90 bars are/will be more popular.

Even more reason to run your bars fully untaped. To show your threads.

I think it would feel delicious to hold a nice thick bar for an entire race...

I mean seriously, minus the sexual innuendo, this might not be a bad idea.

Apparently you haven't seen the Mavic Io $5000 wheelset? I'd love to see these on the street.

don't forget about your carbon fiber wrench so you can change a flat and save weight. but wait, you have zipp tangente dimpled tubies glued on to your dura ace hubbed 32 spoked zipp 404 track rims littered with alleycat cards, so you can't really change your flat on your way back from the bar. oh well, at least everyone will be able to watch your slow ass cruising with that massive 45x18 gearing, carbon fiber gleaming in the street light.

It's not riding track components on the street that's stupid; it's riding expensive track components whose only benefit is to shave fractions of seconds when maintaining minimum speeds of 35mph on a perfectly smooth surface and doing so on risers while wearing jeans and baseball caps.
Pro riders won't even waste comp wheels like that on their training bikes, but you have knuckleheads using them to go down stairs and practice bunnyhops.
