Interesting T-Shirt I Saw Today

i was cruising the boardwalk today and i saw some youngish kid (17-19 maybe?) wearing a shirt that said "Die Hipster Scum" if i had my camera i would have snapped a pic, but it was really funny to see some tool wearing that shirt, anyway just wanted to see what you guys thought or if anyone had seen it before

There's a messenger in MTL who has a sticker on his bike which reads "This machine kills hipsters: shove yr skinny jeans and straight bars up yr ass". Aside from myself, there are maybee one or two other messengers rockin the girl-jeans-and-mtb-bars look. Needless to say, I feel targeted even though I'm pretty sure that sticker pre-dates my jean and bar choices.

ive seen those shirts around for a couple years...i even saw a guy with the hipster part sprayed over and replaced with yuppie. kinda funny as this was on bedford ave in williamsburg, which is now called condoburg f.y.i. and is in fact being populated with yuppies as we speak. or maybe its just that the trust fund kids (trustafarians) are starting to wear polo shirts again...either way its still stupid.

I can understand . I hate the term hipster. Who has the right. Sounds like some elitist defintion to me.

maybe it was german for "the hipster scum" seeing as how 'die' is the feminine article for 'the'
