anyone believe in bike karma?

so, anyone reckon their bike has bad vibes? i know, i know, but i just had an accident on a new bike that took frustratingly long to get and now i am wondering if it was ever meant to be... whether the bike was trying to buck me!

No way...keep it and ride it! Just like some girls play hard to get but you eventually have a good time together, your new whip is just making you earn its love. I have a bike with good vibes...got stolen but I found the f*cker and took it back from him.

And hell yes to Perth! Man, I could go for some ocean time in Perth right about now, getting pounded by those harsh little shorebreak waves...

Never ridden a bike their, so I'll have to get back.

I don't think karma affects physical things, but that only living beings are affected by their karma.

It's probably just mechanical problems on the bike, but it's possible, that by the law of karma, your past actions, in this life or other lives are coming to a head now with this bike.

But I'm sure. Karma is a really complicated thing that only enlightened beings can supposably fully understand.

Think good thoughts and do good things and you'll probably feel better :)

All I know is the Pope is in this country, the Dalai Lama is in Ann Arbor and I felt an eatrhquake this morning.

I am certain the end of the world is not far off!!!

that is so weird. i actually had that thought that, like a dog from the pound, it might be testing me out to see if really will take care of it...now i'm ashamed of ever doubting it...!
and yep perth choppy shorebreak...fun in small doses...gave up surfing it 15 years ago...too crowded and even worse now...riding is real good though...

as for the reply about my past life actions coming to get me...that's a possibility! i won't blame my bike then just my callous otherworld ways...

Your bike is the "James Dean's car" of bikes

My first decent bike was stolen out of my parents garage when I was in high school. It was a boring hybrid, but I loved it, it fit great, and I road it a ton. I bought a bike to replace it, and was never really satisfied with it. I then bought a nice road bike, and it never really felt right either. For a long time, I seriously did believe that I was sort of "bike cursed." Really. Then I realized the first bike needed a different stem, so I swapped it out, and the road bike was a size too small, so I sold it to my brother. Now I am happy and so are my bikes and I don't let lbs salespeople talk me into bikes that don't fit.

i believe in bike karma
the bike gods tend to be vengefull
but when pleased with ur creation or purchase they shall shine their holy light upon you and u shall ride into the sunset w/o problems

The parts have poor Karma but not my frame. I've bent or broken wheels, handlebars, barcons, clusters and tires. The frame keeps rolling along. But then the builder uses custom tube sets with tandem-like wall thicknesses.

I believe in "bike karma" - I take care of my bike and it takes care of me.

i don't know much about karma, but i tend to believe that one's attitudes and actions come back around to them.

i try to be generous with bike gear, and have been so lately. in the past two weeks i've gotten three ridiculously good deals on bulk parts. you'd be astounded.

feels like bike karma to me.
