Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Got hit today...

on the broadside. I had a right of way, was moving in the line of cars when a gray jeep from the side road decided to make a left turn into the main road. It slowed mid turn, the driver looked my way and sped up into my side hitting my hip. I managed to keep up for the split second leaning over his hood, so got out of his way and fell between the lanes.

Do not worry, the bike is more or less OK, the bar tape needs a replacement and a front wheel needs some truing.

My reflexes weren't fast enough to lay down longer and accept an offer of help from a nice lady passing by, I got up too early, got the apologies and a phone number from the driver and rode to work.

Dang. Hope you're O.K. and that you get some good reparations from the hitter.

At least the bike's OK. That's the important part.

And I hope you're OK as well.

LOL damn you missed a golden opportunity. You could've been treated to a nice home-cooked dinner tonight while you relax and nurse your "sore back"... When i visited Krakow i saw some hot women there.
