thought i'd share

uh-oh!
saw this was posted in the comments section in bike snob today, which by the way has grown less and less funnier over the past week or so; maybe the end is near.
anyways whatcha think?

jhaber 04-22-08 08:50 PM

I think they should have gotten different rims to match each shoe.

str8flexed 04-22-08 08:54 PM

wtf

huerro 04-22-08 08:58 PM

What else would you expect? Fixed gears are trendy for the demographic that UO targets. I think the bigger question is why does that cat have his drivetrain on the wrong side.

BikeSnobNYC has been heading down hill since about week 3.

andre nickatina 04-22-08 08:58 PM

Wasn't this already posted?

And really, who cares? Like someone said in the comment section of trackosaurusrex on the post about the same thing... everyone knew it was all over when Puck appeared on the Real World?

Oh yeah and BSNYC keeps doing the same tired jokes over and over, it's a bit old now... it's always something about Cipollini, Rock Racing, fixed gear freestylers that wear bandannas over their faces... I think it started going downhill early '08.

JayNev 04-22-08 10:18 PM

I was just listening to the new Why? album while printing and heard some lyric about riding his 'fixie'

I almost vomited.

RaeFixie 04-23-08 12:45 AM

one of the picture has the crank on the left side?
can someone tell me the reason the do that?

Live2Die 04-23-08 12:49 AM

Major steeze points! just something different/fun challenge. I'm fine with right side myself

tx_what_it_do 04-23-08 12:52 AM

I am sorry but that album is way too good to let one word ruin it.

The CHAINSET is on the left because some dumb photographer flipped the image so that it would look better in the layout. He/She knows as much about fixed as UO.

Yep. Why? Is amazing. They just showed up in cbus for a show at bourbon st. it was awesome.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. Have I seriously been living under a rock for a year or two? I really had absolutely no idea that fixed gear was "trendy". I thought people who rode FG did it because it's a good alternative to gearing, that is efficient and easy to maintain. Proved me wrong.

1fluffhead 04-23-08 07:22 AM

WTF no vans or double straps? Everyone knows those are part of the uniform.

It's really more of a bad alternative to gears generally. Unless you happen to live in a city, then it's a trendy alternative to gears.
