sorry man.

I know you just lost a bike and all but come on, never let someone you don't know ride your bike. Hell, I don't even let people I do know ride my bike.

very sorry for your lost, I seriously hope you find it.

So what was the deal with the keys? Did they not fit the car or what?

The description you gave of the guy is hilarious. I would never even talk to someone like that.

uh yeah...wtf man. I'm just saying, that if they look like someone that stereotypes say like to steal ****, I would assume it would be a good idea not to let them touch your ****. stereotypes exist for a reason, not because they are 100% true, but certain people have been observed doing things on more than one occasion, thus becoming a stereotype.

at least you got some keys out of the trade, right?

sorry about the loss of your bike.

Ok, lets all band together and think of negative things to say about his bike. That way he'll feel less bad about losing it.

I'm also curious about the car keys... Did they just not fit the car door, and he pretended to turn the lock?

You really seem pretty butthurt about something. I'm still kind of curious why you keep coming back here.

To the OP, good luck getting it back. And add me to the list of people who want to know what's up with the keys.

and I have a friend that has one of those shirts...i ignore him when he wears it

it sounds like dude was a little intimidated and thats why he probably let things go a little further than it should have

I've had a couple shady-looking people ask me if they could try my bike. I just direct them to whatever nearby bike shop I can think of.

Also, I think I recognize the building in the first picture w/ the bike hanging. If that's Roebling St, I live directly across from that.

oh, the naive world of bikeforums... in the future for those who don't know, they should keep in mind that those sound suspiciously like prison tattoos.

if you live in a city, particularly NY, don't worry about being nice, be jaded and suspicious like a good city-dweller should.
