Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

If that's the case, I LOVE riding fat chicks.

They don't suck when they're at their normal length. When they're cut down to barspin sizes I can imagine that they'd suck pretty badly.

BTW if you wanna climb hills, put on barends. Actually, use barends irrespective of whether you ride hills or not. If you have no low gear you'll need leverage.

Yes, but that only applies to the new ones. Older DA stems were not.

For the record, I'd prefer the Colnago.

my DA seatpost also has an Easton stamp

that guchi needs drops or horns. i would save my IRO or barenuckle for riser trips.

ive never found risers more comfortable than drops or bullhorns except for trying wheelies, and i hate not having more than 1 hand position

^ ^ ^ I'm in the same boat as you... while I like the feel of Oury's on risers, I hate having only one good hand position (and let's face it gripping the bar next to the stem on risers looks ********...).

Bullhorns with cork is comforting...

I'm pretty sure the older DA/600 posts and stems were made by nitto.

Especially if you like hubs which have a history of explosive failures, those are awesome.

Possibly because it's a track bike?
