Ellipse front / Open Pro rear?

Anyone run this setup? Thinking of running open pro cd rear 32/3x and an ellipse or ksyrium es front. The difference in weight between an open pro/formula front and an ellipse front wheel is minimal. Curious to know if it looks really off. I'd normally just do both OP, but can get a really good deal on an ellipse front off a friend. Thanks all.

Personally, I'd think that it'll look kinda goofy. But of course, I'm a fan of matching wheels, and most people on here aren't.

If its really a good deal (meaning substantially cheaper than what it would cost to get you a matching wheel of similar quality), then who cares what it looks like.

But if it's not, Open Pro/Formulas are awesome. Definitely light, and I've heard of cross racers using OP rims with 32mm tires with no problems, so I would imagine that that would mean that they're pretty strong.

Yeah I was set on a set of open pros but a friend owes me some cash and would be willing to sell me his front for 90. Figure in a rear and it comes out less than an OP set. Curious to know if anyone has ridden both and if the ellipses feel much heavier than the OPs.
