Bike in pieces? How many / how long?
Just wondering if I am the only one who has a bike in pieces and if I hold the record. It took me just over three years from tear down to functional build for my FG.
How many bikes do you have in pieces? How long did it stay that way?

My bikes are always in various stages of disassembly. I rotate parts between builds regularly and always pick up new projects.
For instance, my touring bike has the cranks/BB from my MTB and stem, bars, and shifters from my nice road bike. My new folder also uses a few parts I have set aside for a classic road bike build for a prospective frame. It's a hassle being broke and addicted to bikes.

Yes! You folks are making me feel great about my current status. All four of my bikes are in fully built, fully tuned, fully functional forum. Well, I need to replace a BB on one, but that ain't such a tough job.
But, around a month ago I had so many minor jobs to do on each one that I thought about taking up jogging
Each time I thought I was finished, something new would happen...oh, you finished fixing me today? Well, how about a broken spoke for you?
I always feel a bit frustrated and anxious when I'm in the middle of bike work. It bugs me. Hockeyteeth, I don't know how you do it with that various stages lifestyle. I couldn't handle it.
Even worse is having six small things to fix on a bike PLUS having to do eBay bids on vintage/expensive parts. Ahhh! That gives me nightmares.

I've got a mountain bike that needs a bunch of work done(it's assembled but not rideable) and an old road bike I don't have space for/the money to finish converting at my parents house.

Two currently.
A track build minus the frame, parts sitting in a pile.
And a conversion frame minus the parts.
Too bad I cant combine them...
