Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Infinity MPG Threadless Print/Poster

A while back I posted a link to the Infinity Threadless shirt that I think some people here liked. They now have a print/poster of the same design that some of you might be interested in.

You can find it here.

Is that your design?
Because if it isn't then I can steal it and stencil my own shirt for $2.50 (without feeling guilty)

It's not my design. Threadless is a site where artists submit designs, the community votes, then shirts get printed if the community wants them. They just started printing posters based on some of the designs.

As for taking the design I would suggest just buying the shirt from them instead of taking their design. Threadless is not some big faceless company. They are a small company that works because they pay their artists for their art. I have been in downtown Toronto and seen places that sell knock off shirts/bags using threadless designs ect and it always makes me mad.

Do what you want but personally when I see a shirt on that site that I like I pay them for it. The quality is always great and the shirt arrives quickly. I support the site and thereby support the artists that make these unique shirt designs possible.

Oh ok, I didn't realize it was that kind of thing

Although the extra fossil fuel required to ship it to me vs. using a shirt that I already own is somewhat ironic...

That would be the same argument as not going to the store to buy Cds because its more green to just stay home and download. If its copyrighted, and I'm sure its not by some super rich artist in the first place, just cough up the dough and purchase it if its that important that you own it.

That's a different situation unless the artist is advocating green living (or at least for the irony bit). And to make that example make sense then I wouldn't be downloading the exact song, I'd be doing a cover of it for my own enjoyment.
