Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Allay Saddles

http://www.allaysaddles.com/index.htm

Anyone have experience with these saddles? What is is like? Is there a noticeable difference between it and any other quality saddle? It seems like a good idea, but I was wondering how comfortable they actually are.

I used to have a problem with my old saddle and my member falling asleep on long rides, but recently I got a new "Terry" saddle and the issue was relieved. Even though my new saddle is pretty comfortable, the allay saddle seems intriguing if it is all that it is promised to be.

I'm also curious about a nice brooks saddle, but I'll save that for the search function.

Was totally skeptical but a rep gave me one for a weekend and loved it. Took a good bit of setting as it did shift position around a bit. But did one 5 hour off road and it was fantastic. Would rate it highly.
