Need advice on parts for a fixed gear build
I have just ordered a Bianchi Pista frame as my new fg commuter and am now busy deciding which components to purchase. I already have various parts that I am able to recycle from my old bike but I still need some help on choosing a crankset.
On my roadbike I had the FSA K-Force crankset which used external bearings, was really stiff and I never had any problems with it.
Spending time searching through this forum it appears as if the Sugino 75's are a pretty popular choice, but expensive and a bit of a hassle with the bb. Basically all I want are some decent strong silver cranks in which I can fit a 48t chainring to. Could someone fill me in on the advantages / disadvantages of 130bcd / 144bcd and 1/8" / 3/32" chain/cog widths.
At the moment I am considering the Truvativ Omnium's but would like to know what else is good and low-maintenance for around the $250 or less price range.
Also am looking to use my 105 front brake but need a lever. I found the Paul Components E-Lever and that appears to be exactly what I need, are there any other company that make a similar lever for caliper brakes that are more readily available?

I must say I am leaning towards them at the moment because I'm yet to hear anything bad about the quality of the cranks. What bb should I be looking at getting for general outdoor use?
Also will 170mm cranks be OK on a track frame for general street riding? I've always used 170's so would like to stick with them, but if I'm going to get pedal strike then I'd rather get 165's.

The bb on the Pista Concept frame is high enough that a set of 170 mm cranks should not strike the ground in general riding.

Thanks for that, some years models have come with 165mm and other 170mm so it should be OK. If I decide on the Sugino 75's I could even get 167.5mm
