Thin Helmet?

I know. The SS/FG is probably the last place I should go to ask about helmets. But its the only place I like posting.

I saw a guy for a split second, wearing a helmet much like your typical bike helmet, except it was far less thick. Less of the mushroom head look.

I like it and I am a healmet wearer. BOO to safety! Safety third! (I know) but if anyone here knows anything about this, I'd love to find out who makes it.

Thanks

In general, the more expensive a helmet, the thinner, lighter, and more well vented it will be. That guy was probably wearing a $100+ helmet.

Was he wearing a non-approved time trial helmet? A skidlid? A hairnet? There are all sorts of old-school "helmets" that did nothing to protect the wearer.
