Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My son's coming over in a few minutes and we're going to start converting his Bianchi road bike into a fixie, followed by a ride, and dinner downtown. Can't think of a better way to spend father's day!

I sat with my dad for 5 hours at our Open House (we have a rowhome in Baltimore were selling) and I asked him if he wanted to grab some lunch/dinner afterwards for Fathers Day? he said... "Eh... nah. I'm just gonna head home" Sweet! off the hook! LOL... So I went riding hahaha.

He's not "of age" yet, but I had a glass of wine and he had a soda. Here he is after we took off the handlebars (probably a good thing he didn't have a beer!

).
