Should I part out this bike?
Can I get some selling advice? I'm pretty much done with fixed. I built up an Italian conversion that I'm trying to sell. Lots of looks, no sale, Craigslist or here. (https://www.bikeforums.net/sale/427533-58cm-italian-steel-fixed-conversion-w-campy-record-brev.html)
It's quite a mutt... no real theme, but nice parts. Is it too idiosyncratic to sell as a unit, or would I be better off just parting it out? I think the wheels and cranks would go immediately, some other stuff would sell, I'd take a hit on the other stuff.
Any opinions? Thanks.

I doubt you could get too much from selling the parts.
Some bike shops have programs that you can trade up to a nicer bike. I would suggest finding a shop that would be willing to do this the bike and get one with a "look" and "name" people are wanting. Then sell that bike.

I'll keep that in mind, thanks, except I'm not wanting to trade up to anything, I just want to sell. I have too many bikes as it is.

i think it looks nice. parting out should get you at least $500 pretty quickly. I'd probably wait for the 'perfect' complete buyer.
despite the nice parts, if I were a prospective buyer I'd probably be more strongly spurred to get it in the $600~$700 range. eight seems slightly on the high side for a (nice quality but mutly) conversion...... but if you find someone who is local who can ride/fall in love then you'd be set.

Ugh, that's a lot lower than I was hoping. I paid easily double that. I was hoping C-Record and Dura Ace would count for more, guess not. (sigh) Thanks.

I think parting it out will get you closer to what you want. Test the waters with CL (although everyone is looking for a great deal so don't be surprised if you get no bites) and then the bay if that fails you.

500-700 dollars for an old (but very nice) singlespeed isn't bad.
