Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I'm probably going to be the first to say, but definitely not the last.
Use the Search and do some research before asking such a question, and don't randomly put the word Keirin in your sentences to try and make it sound like you know what you're talking about.

Here's some advice: Click search and find out for yourself.

And then justify to yourself why you want a keirin frame.

I've found the fuji track or one of it's clones to be a decent keirin bike. If I had to do it again I would probably pick a bianchi pista but i don't see many of them used so I don't know if you could find one for under $500. You'll definitely need some gear choices for keirins as well so make sure to budget an extra hundred or so for cogs and chainrings.
