Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Rack / Panniers for IRO Mark V?

Hi All,

Was wondering if it is possible to install a rack and pannier system on my IRO Mark V? Even a DIY system would work for me. Thanks in advance.

sure it is. since there are no braze ons you are going to
-use a seatpost rack, which have a limit of 25 lbs
-use hose clamps to attach the rack to the frame

check thetouringstore.com for all the little parts you would need.

Most touring frames have long chainstays so your feet don't hit the bags. You may have this problem on your bike.
