Schwinn continental CHICAGO SERIES
i found an original frame (recently repainted)
unknown year, but old (Chicago series)
original head tube label, seatpost & crankset
and a new fork, stem, and drops
should i buy?
p.s. i heard these are heavy, does anyone know how heavy they are?
built up they were in the 35+ range. you should be able to get the whole bike for 100
check out working bikes coop. they may have a few continentals and/or varsitys
well i really want a kilo tt frame, but spicer isnt answering the phone
im looking for a track frame with similar geometry to the kilo if anyone has seen any
My first fixed geared bikes were schwinns. I loved them. But i didn't realize how heavy they were because I had nothing to compare to. Now when I lift up a schwinn I laugh. Get any other old roadbike frame and you'll be better off. Weight means so much.
seriously???? have you looked??? There are tons of track frames around.

ive been on my computer for about a week looking for a frame
craigslist, ebay, co-op, or spend more. good luck.
$100 is on the expensive side. Depending on your location, I've seen them being sold for half the cost of that. I bought my complete continental for $40.
I commute with a fixed continental and I don't care if it's heavy. Gives me a better workout.
Dude not worth it the frames are heavy as hell. I bought one for $50. Waste of $50.
