Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Converting a Schwinn Varsity, what crankset with a 110mm BB?

Yes, yes. i know its useless to convert it, so i don't want to hear it from anybody.

i already bought the FMF conversion kit and BB (110x68 un26) and i just need a set of cranks that'll give it a decent chainline (i have Velocities with formula hubs if that helps)

Why did you buy the bottom bracket before the crank?

people doing the same conversion recommended 110mm so i just took their word for it. i just assumed it has something to do with the conversion.

Back to the TOPIC.
