Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

winding up for my flying 200

ended up taking 2nd in the sprint rep

Don't know if I've already posted to this thread, so apologies if this is a repeat. AFAIK this is the only one of me on a bike:

Me "racing" my kid around the house on Christmas eve. I'm trackstanding trying to avoid our coffee table. I got lapped 3 times (that bedroom hallway off the dining room is tighter than you'd think)

Riding with the geared roadies. I don't do Lycra. I hate tight clothes, so IDGAF what anyone thinks of my unconventional cycling attire. I'm the one with the GoPro on my helmet.

This was my first ride on my "new" 2009 Specialized Langster Las Vegas edition that I bought a few days ago. I got it set up right the first time, as I haven't had any issues yet. I bought this bike for long rides with moderate hill climbing. SS climbing is great fun and great strength training.
