Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Doomsday is like 3mi from the finish so it was a bit of a challenge but I made it up okay. My only hill trouble was on a steep downhill at the start where I got wobbly. My buddy's foot slipped out of the clip on that one and he almost ate it

I rode my geared trek with my baby on my back, so it wasn't a problem. My wife on her fixed, and a buddy on his fixed(pic #1 on the mtngear site) almost made it. Hopefully see you around.
