Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Redline 925 or KHS Flite 100

I'm trying to decide between the two. The farthest I ride on average is about 16 miles round trip to work or wherever. Any suggestions.

heads up- the KHS Flite is on back order until August-ish, possibly longer. (or at least for the 53, not sure about the other sizes)

those are basically all the ones youre going to find, since the original brand is defunct and the name is owned by BD now.

Everybody always recommends the same stuff on here, so one of them is probably good: IRO mark V (I like mine), Windsor Hour, Mercier Kilo TT, Bianch San Jose. If you can find some bikes to test ride, buy the one that you feel the best on.

+1.

Ask 1000 BFSSFG readers their choice and it will boil down to a fairly even spread amongst those and a few others. All the "entry level" FG/SS bikes are pretty comparable, and each has its foes and fans. For instance, I love my Kilo TT while others do not.

Really, at that level, it boils down to which bike is available in your size and in a color combination that you like, and, as Gordo789 says above, the one on which you feel the best if you can test-ride them.
