First time in weeks
I went out for twenty miles today, first time in about a month. All of my fast twitch muscle is gone and all the slow twitch is out looking for it. Good God do I suck.

I haven't ridden in over three weeks save for a 15-miler last Saturday and even then I couldn't enjoy it fully due to the damned flu.
Agreed: It sucks out loud.

Mmm, I'll go along with surreal this time. What really sucks is to be out riding in this and because of your own lack of the right tools the cone nuts tighten and implode your third Surley hub in a year. And you have to walk a mile in -33 wind chill to get a ride home.

naisme,
why do you still seem to have loyalty to those surly hubs?
fwiw, the cones tightened up on mine, but i addressed the problem in time. is that really something i'm s'posed to check/adjust frequently?
