great stuff... amazing to see that a 12 year old has so much life within her at such a young age, its a little sad though to know that the frame will never be ridden, will never be 'released' although i understand that its far to precious, it would be nice to see someone riding that down the street and sharing your stories with others who are willing to listen... but anyway, touching story, i wish velocity the best and i give her my hope..

thanks for sharing such a beatiful and peaceful story!

Wow. Great post my friend and a very touching story. My best goes out to that girl and her family. I have ben giving a lot of thought lately to doing a special build for my girl friend. Her dad passed away earlier this this. He died from heart failure and he was a very special man to her. I never got the chance to meet him, but she tells me stories all the time about the things he accomplished in his life. I just dont know how or what I would incorporate in the paint/frame. At any rate, great post and please post more pictures when the build is finished.

thats one of the best things. like I know my cousin who was turning 16 had cancer and for his car did a rad paintjob and it meant the world to him. he died but is in a better place. build that thing up right with some deep vs and if shes big enough let her ride it

I agree about not riding it, or at least reserve riding it for special rides (cancer fundraisers perhaps?) as it just has too much sentimental value. That frame is beautiful.

I really wish powerband would give us an update on this. For over two and a half years I've been wondering if that sweet little girl is doing OK.

Will we ever get another update on how Velocity is doing? I'd love to know whether she ever got to ride Atrocity Jones.

This thread is the longest one that I have been checking back to see if there is any news.
I can only wish and hope the best for Velocity.

Velocity is graduating high school this year, a beautiful and healthy young woman. She's been riding the Jones with her friends, to study groups and the cafe, and she'll take it with her to college in the fall.

There are good things in life. This is one of them.

I was just reading through this whole thread, and I am so relieved and thrilled to see the outcome for Velocity.
Great outcome to a great project.
