MKS Toe clips - Steel vs. aluminum

Any real difference betweem these two clips? And any reason besides bling to get the ones with leather?

The aluminum ones break and bend easy. They suck.
Get steel.
The leather goes to **** after awhile also in my experience.

Ok, now that's just a lie because I've seen these things in at least 6 colors.

Anyway, i plan on getting some mks steel toe clips, what size toe clips should i get, i'm a size 9. And i'm confused because some sites say large is 8-10, then another site says med is 8-9.5, suggestions please!

I agree on the alu-version being crap, I also broke mine on a curb just like that.

As for the size, I'd say get the Large ones for size 9 shoe, for me L is good for my 9.5 size sneakers, and too small clips are worse than too big ones anyway.

I wear a size 9 and have the M. Too large of a size might put your foot in the wrong place over the pedal. Too small of a size could also do this but I suppose you could make minor compensations for a too small toe clip by putting washers between the pedal and the clip itself.
