Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

The Feed Project - High Design Urban Bike Advocacy

Apologies if this has been posted, but I just learned about the Feed Cycling Project by Nabiis, in Taipei, Taiwan. Beautifully photographed bike components on huge posters wheat pasted all over the city. Check it out on Flikr.

A few teasers:

You think they could find a way to be a little more informative with their posters. I'm all for minimalism, but it only works if you remember to keep function > form. Some of these posters are of things that people aren't going to recognize unless they're already into bikes, and they aren't trying to reach people that already bike. Maybe I'm missing the point, but it doesn't make sense to me.
