Need help choosing an inexpensive front brake

I am almost done building up a conversion (my first build and my first fg), and I am coming down to the last few parts I need. At the moment, the main thing I need is a brake for the front of my bike, and I need it to be pretty inexpensive. Also (and this is just a vanity ), it needs to be BLACK. I already have the brake lever, I just need the actual brake.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

You need to tell us whether you need a caliper-style brake or a v-brake (and remember the type of brake lever should match too).

You can probably find some NOS black 105 brakes...They'll probably cost twice as much as the tektros though...

Ebay. Get some old school brakes for $6 (plus $15 in shipping...)

Do you have a local bike coop? There is one near me that has buckets of old components. A black front brake would be around $8.

Believe me, I wish I did. When I lived up at Berkeley, they were everywhere, but now that I've graduated and I'm back down south, everything costs a premium because everybody pays it...

They're not going to have any more in for four more weeks...

Any other suggestions or anyone know where else I can purchase the Tektros?
