bringing it back: 26.4 stem w/ 26.0 bars?

i searched, but found little in the way of a conclusive answer based on experience (mostly a lot of assumptions and bickering).
i ended up with a really nice condition used cinelli xe stem in 26.4 from a friend who's switching to threadless.
my girlfriend is giving her IRO a "makeover", and this stem will work nicely.
unfortunately, her bars (sintace bullhorns) are 26.0mm.
i can't seem to find a 0.2mm shim anywhere.
can anyone with experience in this setup give advice as to what they did that they know works?

thanks.

it seems these should work.. found some forum posts out there (not here) saying they will, despite the +.1mm thickness difference.

your thoughts?

If you want your girlfriend to have a nice set of broken teeth, start putting wrong size bars in old threaded stems.

This isn't a threadless system. There is NO margin for error.

i'd fudge .4mm on a polo bike. but not on a regular rider, and definitely not on my girlfriend's bike.

i do this combo all the time. you just cut beer or pop can into about 3 layers, make a shim and shove it under there. keep trying. then tighten the ***** out of it.
