newb Q: rear cassette wheel to front?
Im sorry if this is a very newb question but i am new to the mechanics of bicycles so i am not sure if this is possible?
On ebay there is a spinergy rear wheel for sale with a 8-cassette. However, I was wondering if it will be possible to convert the rear wheel to a front wheel instead? If so,what will I need to make it possible? thanks |
I believe you need to replace the hub to a front wheel hub and as long as the wheel is in good shape you are fine.

what hubs will fit spinergy?

look to spend the cost of having a wheel built up and pay the cost of a hub also... i think i understand your question though... kinda like 'without spending extra money to get the wheel rebuilt... can i just use the rear wheel as a front wheel'
in a sense yes, but in a sense no... yes if you can monkey with it yourself and pull off the cassette, redish the wheel, respace the hub and change the spindel... which in turn would give you a2 rear wheels but one being able to be used up front.... but, really, not worth it. |

To the OP, just wait for a front if you really want to get one. Or you could just not get one, because they have a tendency to explode into a million billion pieces. |
